Welcome to Tea Tree Gully Primary School

Thankyou for taking the time to look
at our school’s web page.

Tea Tree Gully Primary School is located 20 kilometres from the Adelaide GPO (General Post Office) in a picturesque hillside setting.  It holds a unique place in the history of South Australia having celebrated 143 years of public education.

The February 2015 census enrolment was 146 students.  Student enrolments have dropped slightly over the last 5 years.

At Tea Tree Gully Primary School we strive to develop a success orientated environment conducive to all learners.  Our school has a well developed ethos of success, achievement and well being.  Our staff are committed to the educational progress of every child.  We seek to challenge those who are more able and support and nurture those who need extra help.

Our School Vision is

"Developing a Passion and Purpose for Learning."

In September 2007 our new Discovery Centre was opened and includes a Library, Science / Technology Room and an Information Communication Technology Suite.

These improved physical learning areas and new technologies have enhanced our learning environment.  Whole school inquiry based learning is promoted across the curriculum to prepare our learners for a changing world.  Our students have obtained excellent academic results.

In 2011 our new school gymnasium was opened. This facility was funded through the National School Pride Program.

At Tea Tree Gully Primary School we focus on the whole child as well as developing strong links and positive relationships with parents and the community.  We liaise with the Kathleen Mellor Kindergarten, neighbouring Childcare Centres and Banksia Park International High School.

The specialist teaching domains of our school are Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Technologies, Physical Education and Japanese.

I look forward to having the opportunity in sharing in your child’s education.  Please explore the rest of our school’s web site.

Mr Grant Dolejs
